ANNOUNCEMENTS

Key Information for Applicants and Agents – Temporary Pause on New Stage 1 Documentary Evidence Assessment Applications

12 Mar 2026

In line with changes introduced by Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) to the OSAP and TSS assessment programs, effective 30 March 2026, William Angliss Institute (WAI) will implement the following temporary changes:

WAI will be unable to accept new applications for Stage 1 Documentary Evidence Assessment (including issuing new payment codes) from 3 pm (AEDT) on 13 March 2026 until 30 March 2026.

Applications for Stage 1 Documentary Evidence Assessment that are submitted and paid for on or before 13 March 2026 will not be affected and will continue to be processed as normal.

Applicants who have already successfully completed Stage 1 can continue to pay for Stage 2 Technical Interview stage up until 29 March 2026.

Please also note that new TRA assessment fees will take effect once new applications resume - details will be published by TRA in the TSS/OSAP Applicant Guideline fees page, as well as on our website's TSS/OSAP Fees section in due course.

During the pause period, submissions of pre-assessment documentation can continue via SharePoint. If you need a dedicated SharePoint folder created to facilitate your uploads, please contact our team directly at skills.assessment@angliss.edu.au  for assistance. This allows you to prepare your documentation in advance for a smoother transition once the applications reopen.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this short-notice administrative pause, which is necessary to facilitate the upcoming TRA program and fee transitions.

For urgent queries or to check your pre-assessment or application status, please contact us directly skills.assessment@angliss.edu.au .

Thank you for your understanding.
